Layering Arts & Letters with Rebecca Wild

Explore rewarding new techniques that combine art with words. Working on small format paper, we combine drawing materials, paint and various resists with handwriting (no matter how readable) and self-crafted letterforms to create richly layered pieces that have a striking, print-like quality. All techniques link together allowing endless oppportunity for individual expression. You will complete this class with fresh ideas, heightened enthusiasm, and a hand-constructed portfolio of your work.
About the instructor: Rebecca Wild is an artist and calligrapher in Portland, Oregon. her work combines a love of letterforms with the luminous characteristics of drawing materials and paint. She has a B.A. in studio art and teaches locally at Oregon College of Arts & Crafts, Portland Community College and Sitka. http://wildletterart.blogspot.com/
