Tuesday, MAY 3, 9-12am $25 Art Room of Lakewood Center, Lake Oswego
Share your lettering skills & create easy, informal/formal, meaningful
art - gifts from your hands and heart; maybe a treasured memento. We
will make unusual, exuberantly happy "CaRdS" and a ribbon
bound guest/message book.
BRING: 2-4 subjects (person & special event, ie Beth's 60th birthday).
SUPPLIES TO HAVE WITH YOU: basic dip pens in several sizes, loading
brushes, fav black ink, pencil, ruler, scissors, glue stick, needle
w/large eye (tapestry or binding), 3 water containers, pipette or eyedropper.
Palette – 6
wells or more.
BRING WHATEVER YOU HAVE OF THESE: flat brush (1/2"- 1"),
pointed brushes: 2-3 sizes; 6mm Parallel Pen, color pencils/crayons
(regular or watersoluble), small watercolor set, spritzer, Stardust
gelly roll pens, white Unibal roller ball, metallic Slicci pens or
other favorite fun tools. I will have tools to share and you can use
a variety of materials.
SUPPLY FEE (INCLUDED): for book materials & balloons. There will
be time to shop before and after class.

for calligraphy with new twists & tools to entertain beginning & seasoned
hands.
Tuesday, May 3, 1-4pm $30 Art Room of Lakewood Center, Lake Oswego
Bring your supply dilemmas, get answers and open a door into new materials
for enjoyment and unusual effects.
We'll work with:
1. Good papers. We'll test eight great papers; get the skinny on paper
characteristics & how to choose the right paper & fluid for
your job/project/practice.
2. Black paper with tints & metallics, black on black, metallic
powder in black ink. 3. Big pens, tiny pens, newest pointed pens and
Parallel Pen tips
4. ....and the NEW(!) Slant Cut Parallel Pen- acts like a folded pen
with a steady ink supply.
HAVE WITH YOU PLEASE: your favorite dip pens in several sizes, loading
brushes, fav black ink, 3 water containers, pipette or eyedropper, palette
for about 10 colors, 5-10 colored pencils, two penholders without nibs.
Your Supply Fee (Included with registration fee) pays for your paper
sampler, a Rubinato nib, a Hiro Poster nib & a black glaze pen
for you to keep along with class materials.
There will be time to shop before and after class.
