Pastepaper Book Workshop with Rosie Kelly
Saturday & Sunday, May 19 & 20, 2007,
9 a.m.-4 p.m.
PCC Sylvania Campus, room CT 113
Rosie Kelly, world-renowned calligrapher and book designer, will spend the weekend by first combining her love of design, color, texture and play teaching us to decorate pastepaper with pigment and unique tools. The next day we will assemble our creations into book format. She will provide many exemplars of her work to help with layout, design and PLAY.
About the instructor: Rosie's works have been shown in many books. She has taught in fifteen states, New Zealand and Japan and her work is exhibited in many galleries, including the Newberry Library in Chicago where she received the 1995 "Purchase Prize."
